Do you have a plan for acquiring new customers?

What is your organized plan for attracting new prospects to your business? No matter what the plan is, you should continue to market your business relentlessly. If you’re currently only running newspaper ads and yellow pages ads to market your business, then you’re close to being in trouble.

Now I know that a huge percentage of your customers come from the fact that you may have a good business location. In the offline world, the mantra is location, location, location. But you don’t want to rely on location alone – you have to be proactive in your approach to attract as many customers as you can handle. And this is a good thing.

So what can you do to promote your business effectively? Well, I have the answer for you! The first thing that you should do is to implement a wide variety of techniques. For example, incorporate postcards into your marketing mix and rent a list to target prospects in your area who would be great future customers. I like the postcard method because it’s attractive, and it looks like
a friendly venture. Also, you don’t have to open a postcard, so part of your job of getting the letter opened is already done for you.

What is the best way to get more customers?

Are you wondering what you can do to get more new customers to your business? Advertising and marketing isn’t particularly hard – it’s just that if you aren’t a master copywriter or marketer, it can be tough to write an ad that pulls in prospects immediately.

With that being said, luckily… there are all kinds of ways to get more new customers. For example, one thing that you can use is direct mail.

All you have to do with direct mail is rent a mailing list, categorize your list to make it niche-specific, and then mail out your letters to this targeted group of people. The best way to find out more about mailing lists is with a list broker or the SRDS. I like the SRDS better.

When I called up a list broker, he told me that he couldn’t segment the list any further. I could tell that all he wanted was my money, and he sounded pushy over the phone. So I hung up the phone
and never called the broker back. I was disappointed in his attitude and the fact that he didn’t want to help.

After that situation, I found the SRDS. This is a huge compilation of mailing lists that you can use for marketing your business. Typically the more specific you go, the higher the list will cost you – but you’ll also have a good chance of having your mailing successful. Some marketers enjoy getting niche-specific with their list because they know that they will get incredible returns.

So should you start with the SRDS? Yes, you should. Along with direct mail, another thing that you should consider doing is joint ventures. For example, you can partner up with another business owner in your city and offer to supply services to their customer database. If the message to market match is there, and you’re offering a solid product, then you can stand to earn a lot of money with joint ventures.

The best way to find an excellent joint venture partner is to analyze what you do in your business and see if other companies are a good match for you. Then, never do a joint venture with a competitor. Some business owners make this mistake, and it’s just not smart. For example, I would never give a direct competitor access to my customer list. They could take my customers away from me and drive me out of business.

Ignore competitors and search for viable businesses. For instance, if I owned a nutritional store and a fitness gym nearby, I would offer them a deal they couldn’t refuse. In addition, I could probably give members of the fitness gym discounts on products.

I would split the profits 50-50 with the fitness gym and continue to run this campaign far into the future. This is a good match for two businesses coming together to make each other money.

It doesn’t matter what business you’re in. You, too, can use joint ventures to your advantage. So now get out there and start earning more in your business.

Joint venture marketing

Another technique that you can use is joint ventures. With joint venture marketing, you can get sales for free by partnering up with a similar business in your area. Since you two would be targeting the same type of audience, the chances of promoting one another’s products to each group of customers can make the alliance very powerful.

Some people do nothing except joint venture marketing. Their whole premise is based on the idea that since this technique is working, we might as well keep using it to promote our business. This is something like the phenomenon called broadcast fax. In the past offline marketers used to use this technique with great success. It wasn’t until the authorities got involved that made this technique obsolete. But joint venture marketing is something that isn’t going anywhere for a long, long time.

Another arsenal that you should have in your marketing plan is advertorials. An advertorial is an ad that looks likes a newspaper or magazine article. This is a great way to capture more leads – especially in a publication where it’s mostly about content and not about advertising revenues. Nevertheless, you can use this technique to your advantage.

The last aspect that should be included in your plan is following up on your customers. Existing customers will result in more than 80% of your total business profits. So if you’re not marketing more to them, you’re missing out on a huge profit source. I tell my clients all the time that if they want to see more sales in their business immediately, simply run a direct mail campaign
that solely deals with existing customers.

You may have to do some work to reactivate a portion of your customers, but for the most part, the majority of your customers will respond. Keep these tips in mind when looking for more ways to earn more money in your business.

Low cost ways to get customers

Did you know that there are low-cost ways to get customers to come to your place of business? It’s true, and I have been using these strategies for the past four years to bring in new customers to my business. If you have a large customer database, I think you should start with them to improve your sales and profits.

You don’t even have to do anything major. I suggest that you contact your customers once a month (while other experts suggest every 3-6 months. Personally, I find this to be a long time, so once a month should suffice.) No matter when you choose to mail out to your customers, make sure you treat them well.

Today I want to show you some things that you can do to make more money in your business effortlessly. So here’s the first tip for making more money in your business.

Have a great website

You could even accept payment through your website. People are getting lazier and lazier as we speak, so offer them a non-hassle way to order from you. Having your own website that you can
gather leads with and order items from can easily account for an additional 30% in your sales and profits.

If you don’t know how to build a website, know that it doesn’t take much effort to put up a 3-page website. You can use a reliable website hosting company to make your website. You could use WordPress or an easy-to-use HTML editor tool to create your website.

If you still feel that this is too much to handle, there’s always the option of outsourcing your website design. In addition, some companies only charge around $3000 to build a lead gen website – so you have a lot of options when it comes to hiring a web designer for your business.

The main thing is that you want to make it easy and obvious to subscribe to your online newsletter or schedule an appointment/sale. Flyers

I have never used flyers due to the nature of my business, but I know a lot of marketers who have had major success with flyer marketing. The key to doing this correctly is handing out your flyer in the right place.

Depending on your business, you could go to the movie theater and hand out flyers; you could go down to your local chamber of commerce and hand out flyers, or you can hand them out to people in front of Walmart. It all depends on the nature of your business where you will want to hand out these flyers – so keep this in mind.

How to get more customers with outstanding customer service?

How are you managing to put customers first in your business? Do you treat them like rock stars, or do you unknowingly neglect them? Customer service is all about going the extra mile for your customer and making them feel like royalty in the process. I once learned this from this grocery store I used to work at.

I still remember till this day how the interview went. The boss asked, “So do you tell people where to go, or do you show them where to go?” And me being stupid, said, “I would tell them where to go.” You should’ve seen the look on his face when I told him that. He looked at me with the most confused look I’ve ever seen.

He then went on to say that I should lead them to where to go instead of telling them. He said he wants all of his customers to be treated like kings and queens, but this was something that I knew nothing about. Anyway, despite the poor interview, I got the job, and his advice stuck with me every day while I was there.

So what about you? Are your customers and clients being treated like royalty – or do you barely give them a passing glare? Your customers should be number 1 in your mind, and taking care of them should be a top priority. So what are some of the things that you can do to make your customers feel special? Well, I’m glad you asked.

The first thing you should do is greet and say hello to every customer who walks into your store. Ask them if they need assistance with anything, and tell them that you’ll be right there if they need anything. This is customer service 101, but not every business utilizes this to its advantage.

Another thing that you can do to help your prospects feel special is to contact them every month. Surprise them with a free issue of your monthly newsletter, and let them know how to order a paid subscription if they deem your content relevant. The newsletter should contain things that they will find interest in.

For example, if you’re a chiropractor, offer a monthly newsletter of how patients can take care of themselves at home. If you’re a fitness gym owner, offer a newsletter that shows members how to stay in tip-top shape even when they’re away from the gym. If you’re an auto mechanic, offer a newsletter about how to keep your car in good shape at all times. These are just classic ways to get, keep, and win customers over with your information.

It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in. You can find ways to offer a newsletter to your existing customers. They will love you for it, and if you structure it in the right way, you can make a lot of money from the newsletter alone. It’s like receiving a free sale at the beginning of each month.
